The BCAS Library is the soul of the institution. It has extensive collection of books reference materials for academic and research needs of the students and faculty.
The Library has Reference section, circulation section, and periodical section.
The Library always encourages all students and faculty to recommend new books in order to strengthen their collection

Subscribed to 67 Journals and Magazines including 11 International journals and leading 10 newspapers.
The information bank includes Journals, Magazines and books CD-ROMs.
Membership is open to the faculty, research scholars, and students and non-teaching.
The library and information centre consists a Reference section, circulation section periodical section
Enormous reference collection includes directories, dictionaries, encyclopaedias, yearbooks, handbooks, annual publications etc.,
Computer assisted book-searching facility.
The Book Bank facility is available in our library with 555 books for the benefit of all students with open access.
Digital Library
It has a collection of CDs related to all disciplines.
Online Subscriptions
It has subscribed online journals from NLIST for the benefit of the users.

Activities
2024-2025
Department of Library and Reader’s Club organized Lecture programme entitled “NAVILTHORUM NOOL NAYAM " on 09.08.2024 at Thiruvalluvar Arangam. 106 students along with staff members were participated and benefitted in this programme.
2023-2024
Department of library BCAS organized reading practice skills entitled “READ BOOKS AND DO THE NEW WORLD” on 30.10.2023 at the college premises Dr.S.Kamesh Principal delivered the presidential address. He explained the importance of reading and its benefits through his speech. He also explained the strategies of reading and its techniques in these programme 100 students were participated in this programme and they got benefited by the reading skills.
2022-2023
Department of library conducted enhancement of reading habits among the students on 28.11.2022 in the college library. Dr.S.Kamesh, Principal, BCAS inaugurated the function. 125 students at arts and science stream participated in this practice. Numerous books were given to the students and explored their Knowledge. The books names are medicine, education, commerce, literature, information technology and other related arts books. After 2 hours of reading, students were discussed among themselves about the perspectives of reading and its significance. They were eagerly participated and got benefited about the importance of reading.
2021-2022
Department of Library Celebrates “Book Day and Copyright Day” along with a Guest lecture programme entitled “Knower, Knowee and Knowledge” on 21.04.2022. Dr.D.Mercy Lydia, Assistant Professor of Library and Information Science, Vellalar College for Women, Erode was the Resource Person.
A special Book Fair
A special Book Fair was organized by BCAS Library along with English and Tamil Department on 9th & 10th July, 2019. Thiru.N.K.K.Periasamy, Secretary& Correspondent, Bharathidasan Institutions inaugurated the function. More than seven leading Publishers exhibited their books. In addition to our college students, around 200 school students participated in it. Events were conducted for them and books were distributed as prizes in order to motivate them. The book fair was conducted for three days and more than 260 books were sold.
Library of Bharathidasan college of arts and science, Ellispettai,Erode organized one day webinar on “Open Access Educational Resources “on 19.06.2020. Mrs. S. Subha , Librarian Navarasam Arts and Science College for Women , Arachalur , Erode was the Chief Guest. She explained clearly about open access educational resources with illustrations. PG students, research scholars, Librarians and faculty members participated from various institutions. Totally more than 100 participants were participated and they gained much information regarding open access educational resources.
