The art of practicing yoga helps in controlling an individual’s mind, body and soul. It brings together physical and mental disciplines to achieve a peaceful body and mind, it helps to manage stress and anxiety and keeps relaxing. It also helps increasing flexibility, muscle strength and body tone. It improves respiration, energy and vitality. Practicing yoga might seen like just stretching but it can do much more for body from the way of feel, look and move.
Yoga has been shown to improve memory in both adults and children, a benefit that would seen certain to improve academic performance. Controlling attention is a challenge for students, partly because the brain’s frontal lobes. Which control the power of attention, mature later than some other functions. Yoga requires attention, which can be a challenge for younger yogis, but it has also been found to enhance the ability to control alteration, even in hyperactive student.

Yoga club of Bharathidasan College of Arts and Science, Erode celebrated “International Yoga Day” on 27.06.2018 (Wedenesday). Ms.V.K.Deepika and Mr.D.R.Duraisamy, Yoga instructors,Isha yoga centre, Gobi was the keynote speaker. 368 students of our college participated and learned simple exercises of Yoga.

Yoga club of Bharathidasan College of Arts and Science, Erode celebrated “International Yoga Day” on 21.06.2017 (Wednesday). Tmt.S.Lalitha,Yoga Professor, Manavalakkalai Mandram, Erode was the keynote speaker to students of our college participated and learned simple exercises of yoga.

Yoga club of Bharathidasan College of Arts and Science,Erode celebrated “International Yoga Day” on 21.06.2016 (Tuesday). Dr.K.Balakrishnan, Naturopathy Doctor,Yoga Professor, Erode delivered special address and taught simple exercises to the students of our college participated in this yoga day celebration. Students learned simple exercises of yoga.
